About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting participants with employment and retention by delivering employment services including assessing barriers and developing skills that will be beneficial to long-term employment.

Requirements

  • Assesses, manage, and maintain a caseload of job ready participants.
  • Conducts one-on-one job assessment sessions with participants in an effort to assist them in achieving employment goals.
  • Advises participants on employment services skills including job search strategies, career planning, networking, resume and portfolio development, and interviewing.
  • Maintains a strong supportive relationship with employed participants through consistent communication via phone, text, email, mail, social media, and in-person visits.
  • Develops and presents career building skills workshop, providing ASH clients with continued education and development opportunities.
  • Coordinates and communicates with ASH Case Manager staff to connect participants to needed support and resources services in house or with community partner organization (e.g., transportation, childcare, clothing, work equipment), crisis intervention (prevention, domestic violence, substance use) or career.
  • Acts as liaison for participants with internal personnel or external service providers, during all phases of placement and retention.
  • Follows up with client and referral source to ensure successful completion.
  • Monitors retention of employment placements at the 30, 60, 90 and 180 days.
  • Assesses, maintains and submits accurate, timely and complete case notes, documentation, and files for funders as well as the agency’s internal reporting systems, regarding clients’ including: all interactions, training, supportive services, job search, job placement programs, termination and follow-up activities; Complies with all reporting guidelines specified by funding agency.
  • Achieves all accreditation minimum placements percentage requirements by program.
  • Ensures participants employment information is maintained up to date in an official participant database system, following all policies and procedures.
  • Ensures regular use of official participants database system to report participants contact activity, employer contact activity, job opportunities, and employments.
  • Uploads regulatory career services documents into official participant database system.
  • Works closely with the third-party verification company to meet all regulatory requirements regarding placement verification.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
