About The Position
VCA Family and Oahu Veterinary Specialty Center is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join their growing Ophthalmology Service. This role involves providing care to patients in conjunction with an Ophthalmologist, utilizing advanced medical equipment similar to human medical centers. The service focuses on improving patient quality of life through effective treatment and support for common eye problems in pets.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, LVT)
- Experience with monitoring anesthesia
- Passion for client communication and education
Responsibilities
- Providing care to patients in conjunction with the Ophthalmologist
- Assisting in exam rooms
- Performing diagnostics
- Managing prescriptions
- Client education
- Assisting with anesthetic/surgical procedures
- Safe patient handling
- Other duties as assigned
