About The Position

Northwest Eye Surgeons is seeking a passionate, skilled, and motivated Glaucoma Specialist with outstanding surgical and interpersonal abilities to join their dynamic, well-established team in Seattle. This is a rare chance to practice in a thriving, referral-based environment with strong professional support, high surgical volume, and state-of-the-art facilities. Northwest Eye Surgeons is recognized as one of the premier ophthalmic referral practices in the Pacific Northwest. Since 1986, they have been dedicated to providing advanced, high-quality care in a warm, compassionate, and professional environment. They serve patients across 6 primary locations and 4 state-of-the-art surgery centers throughout the Puget Sound region, supported by 10 additional satellite locations in Washington, Idaho, and Alaska. Their strong co-management relationships with referring providers ensure a steady, diverse, and rewarding surgical and clinical caseload. This position will occasionally travel to other Northwest Eye Surgeons locations such as: Smokey Point, Mount Vernon, and possibly Arlington. As a key member of the physician team, the role involves providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for glaucoma and cataract patients, working collaboratively with optometrists and MDs within a respected MD/OD co-management model, contributing to clinical excellence through high-volume glaucoma and cataract surgery, and helping shape patient outcomes in a practice known for quality, service, and innovation. The expertise of the individual will play a vital role in expanding and elevating the glaucoma program.

Requirements

  • Fellowship training in glaucoma
  • Board certification or eligibility
  • Unrestricted Washington medical license and DEA certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong glaucoma and cataract surgical skills
  • Commitment to continuous learning and clinical excellence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for compassionate, patient-centered, team-oriented care
  • Board-certified MD or DO
  • DEA certification
