About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to join their growing and thriving organization. This role offers hands-on experience working with multiple Ophthalmic Providers across Gundersen Health System. Comprehensive training is provided, and no prior optical experience is required. The position involves supporting providers by assisting with patient care and scribing during appointments. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 6 months of customer service or public relations experience
• Strong communication skills
• A desire to help patients feel informed and comfortable

Responsibilities

• Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Be based at Gundersen’s La Crosse Main Campus.
• Have the opportunity to travel to various Gundersen optical locations.
• Support providers by assisting with patient care and scribing during appointments.
