About The Position

Eaton’s division is currently seeking a OPEX Manager. The expected annual salary range for this role is $112,070 - $170,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Lead and manage cost reduction projects portfolio across the division. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and finance, to identify and develop cost-saving opportunities. Define project goals, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with divisional objectives. Facilitate events and meetings to define new cost out opportunities and build the pipeline. Train and mentor team members in cost reduction methodologies and best practices. Support EBSA (Eaton Business system assessments) and strategic plans for VA/VE (Value Add, Value Engineering) of PCS division. Maintain on track the capital spending, appropriation and expenses required for each project portfolio. Manage, train users and update, as needed, projects loaded in CostVerse (Eaton tool). Evaluate and implement industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to cost management. Reach and develop more efficient methods to manage, forecast results and expedite completion for cost project portfolio across division. Position is fixed location based in Moon Township office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed up to one (1) day per week. 25% domestic and international travel to hold events, project implementations, audit process and train people in best practices and Eaton’s specific tools and software.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering plus five (5) years of experience in VA/VE and cost out initiatives.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Interface and working with Operations and Design Engineering to achieve VA/VE cost or productivity improvements
  • Five (5) years of experience in Engineering concepts and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Five (5) years of experience in Manufacturing processes, including material management, manufacturing operations, cost accounting, quality processes and procedures, project management and Lean manufacturing
  • Five (5) years of experience in Software packages including MS Word, MS Excel and advanced functions including Pivot Tables, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, CAD design and statistical analysis
  • Five (5) years of experience in VA/VE concepts
  • Five (5) years of experience in Project management
  • Five (5) years of experience in Process and system improvement
  • Four (4) years of experience in Financial analysis related to cost reduction projects, including identifying and mitigating benefit leakage
  • Four (4) years of experience in Interaction with project budgets, capital appropriation requests, and expense tracking to ensure compliance with financial targets
  • Four (4) years of experience in Reviewing and interpreting spent reports and financial forecasts to support decision-making and maintain project profitability
  • Two (2) years of experience in Maintenance management
  • Must be a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Must possess or be a candidate for ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt.
