About The Position

Shell is seeking experienced and safety focused Operators to support offshore production operations in the Gulf of America. This role is responsible for executing operational and maintenance activities that ensure safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant production. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong personal safety leadership, operational discipline, and a commitment to Shell’s values, One GoA Mindset, and operating standards.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work visa
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Recent Offshore Upstream Gulf of America (GoA) experience, with current contractor experience supporting Shell’s Gulf of America operations
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Ability to work in offshore conditions, including climbing stairs and ladders, working at heights, and working outdoors
  • Successful completion of the Shell Operations Aptitude Test (within 5 days of submitting application)
  • Fulfillment of asset – specific Operator competency and training requirements
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • HUET (Helicopter Underwater Egress Training)
  • Demonstrated capability as an informal leader of safety and culture
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical evaluation, drug screen, and background check
  • Ability to work on elevated platforms and grating
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Responsibilities

  • Operate offshore production facilities, utilities, and safety systems in accordance with approved procedures and permits
  • Execute production rounds, surveillance activities, startups, shutdowns, and abnormal situation response
  • Maintain safety ‑ critical and environmental barriers in alignment with SEMS and the SEAM Framework
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment or operational abnormalities
  • Perform routine field maintenance and assist with corrective maintenance activities
  • Participate in permit – to – work, isolation, and lock‑out / tag‑out processes
  • Exercise Stop Work authority and promote a strong safety culture
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operations
