About The Position

ArcelorMittal Calvert is seeking an Operator Roll Shop to join their state-of-the-art steel processing facility. This role involves performing daily tasks and all functions on specific equipment, evaluating roll and equipment conditions, and rebuilding complex assemblies. The position requires meeting quality and efficiency standards, operating complex machine setups, inspecting finished rolls, and driving continuous improvement. The operator will also demonstrate company values and ensure a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to ISO 14001, IATF 16949, and ISO 17025 standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years of experience in an industrial environment
Basic computer literacy
Mechanical experience

Nice To Haves

Machining and Millwright experience strongly preferred
CNC experience
Leadership Experience and/or capabilities
Strong quality awareness

Responsibilities

Perform Roll Shop Daily Tasks
Perform All Roll Shop Functions on Herkules WS 250, WS450, Chocker/Dechocker, and Automatic Roll Loading System along with auxiliary equipment
Evaluate Roll and Equipment Conditions
Rebuild Complex Bearing and Roll Assemblies with Precision and Accuracy
Meet/Exceed quality and efficiency standards
Set up and operator complex machine set ups
Inspect finished rolls for accuracy
Drive continuous improvement in efficiency and reduced costs
