About The Position

Process Experts are responsible for the operation of multiple reactor systems or filtration systems. They safely operate and troubleshoot process equipment, support lock out tag out, assist maintenance with troubleshooting, and will eventually train future operators. Operators will be expected to learn all jobs in the unit including floor operations, control room, material movement, and filtration.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of chemical manufacturing experience or 5 years of manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

• Understand P&IDs and process flow.
• Work on a computer.
• Operate a forklift.
• Perform repetitive manual lifts.
• Support work groups with walk downs of equipment.
• Issue Safe Work Permits.
• Maintain a clean work area and continuously support and improve housekeeping.
• Understand and follow all safety procedures and protocols.
• Stop work if an unsafe condition is identified.
• Follow batch recipes and SOPs strictly.
• Ensure appropriate data recording.
• Perform preliminary troubleshooting on equipment and process malfunctions.
• Make first attempt repairs where appropriate and escalate as needed.
• Be approachable by other team members and support them and leadership.
• Record pertinent information for the day.
• Deliver handovers with incoming team members.
