About The Position

Monitors and tends injection-molding machines that form plastic products.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 1 years of production or manufacturing experience
  • PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS: Identify problems, investigate the root-cause, and make recommendations for solutions
  • VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Use verbal skills to communicate with co-workers or customers and/or vendors

Responsibilities

  • Maintains cleanliness of equipment and work area
  • Maintains production counts
  • Completes quality checks of line equipment and molded parts
  • Follows process and packaging instructions
  • Ensures molded product is acceptable in accordance with Polymar’s internal procedures.
  • Maintains all relevant documentation for their process
  • Quickly reports issues when they arise to minimize impact on efficiency and quality of production
  • Communicates job procedures and issues to incoming shift or relief employee
  • Removes molded product from tooling using one or both hands
  • Trims completed product with cutters, clippers or knives
  • Moves cartons (up to 40 lbs) and neatly stacks on slid
  • Places product into cold water or cooling fixture to prevent distortion
  • Has the ability to operate semi-automatic machinery within prescribed cycle time
  • Completes all safety training and demonstrates compliance with day-to-day tasks
  • Performs all other duties as required
