About The Position

Mylan Technologies, Inc., part of Viatris, is hiring an Operator to support manufacturing operations. The role includes assisting with production equipment setup and operation, monitoring product and processes, maintaining clean work areas, ensuring products are correctly labeled and stored, and documenting production activity. The Operator may help train new personnel, perform equipment calibrations, coordinate the work of other Operators, and back up the Senior Operator as directed. This position works 4th Shift and is eligible for a 10% shift differential.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least two years of experience; a combination of experience and/or education will also be considered.
• Good mechanical, communication, time management, organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stoop, climb ladders or stairs, and stand or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to wear a respirator.
• Ability to hear an alarm.
• Ability to identify small defects.
• Ability to distinguish between colors.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect products during operation and monitor equipment and processes for proper operation; seek maintenance assistance for problems and recommend improvements.
• Assist with setting up and running production equipment.
• Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment for inspection as required, and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Ensure products are properly labeled and stored.
• Document material runs using Batch Production Records, In-Process Sheets, Logbooks, and Time Sheets.
• Assist in training new personnel in manufacturing operations as directed by a supervisor or manager.
• Perform calibration on scales, line meters, coating ovens, micrometers, and similar equipment as instructed.
• Coordinate the work of other Operators and act as a backup to the Senior Operator as directed by a supervisor or manager.
