Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical rendering and/or process equipment.
• Good mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills.
• Skilled in general mechanics and safe operation of equipment.
• Ability to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform general plant labor including housekeeping duties such as hosing down floors, mopping, sweeping, and emptying trash.
• Pick up trash and clean up spills in the plant.
• Empty barrels of trash and product.
• Clean equipment thoroughly.
• Assist with unstopping screw conveyors.
• Cut plastic and product off of screw conveyors.
• Keep floor drains cleaned out and ensure covers are on drains.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
