About The Position
Stranger Soccer is seeking an entrepreneurial Operator & License Owner to launch, manage, and grow its football platform in San Diego. The role involves building a local football operation and making the game more accessible while shaping the operation with support from Stranger Soccer’s Singapore headquarters. Support includes a technology platform for app, payments, and operations; established operating systems and processes; and ongoing guidance across operations, marketing, and growth. Stranger Soccer is a Singapore-founded company whose mobile app enables players to find nearby football games, book a place, and turn up to play. It operates in more than 10 cities worldwide and has hosted over 100,000 games.
Requirements
- Passion for football and a strong understanding of the local football community.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
- Experience managing operations and delivering measurable results.
- Background in operations, community management, or customer experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Responsibilities
- Launch and grow Stranger Soccer in San Diego.
- Build partnerships with football venues and secure quality playing locations.
- Recruit, coordinate, and support Official Hosts and local team members.
- Drive marketing initiatives to attract players and grow the community.
- Oversee game operations and deliver an outstanding player experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve and expand the local operation.
