About The Position

Operate various types of large machines in a production environment to produce products. Machines may include extrusion, laminator, tarp machine, winder, and seal cart equipment. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a $3-per-hour weekend shift premium. Previous machine operation experience is preferred but not required. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to learn mechanical skills, work efficiently at a fast pace, and collaborate with minimal supervision. The position may involve occasional entry into production areas, where employees may encounter noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Aptitude to learn mechanical skills.
• Team-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to work efficiently at a fast pace.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions and maintain accurate records.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
• Good eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to operate forklift, pallet mover, or hoist equipment; forklift certification may be required.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach.

Nice To Haves

• Previous machine operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload material throughout production runs.
• Package materials for shipment by cutting, wrapping, palletizing, banding, and labeling.
• Monitor material and machine conditions.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area by completing general housekeeping tasks.
• Learn to set up and operate large machines.
• Demonstrate Viaflex Team Member Values in daily actions and encourage teams to do the same.
• Perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and assist in other areas as needed.
• Learn, understand, continuously improve, and promote the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
