About The Position
The Operator I is an entry-level position responsible for performing basic packaging and production operations under close supervision. This role involves completing required paperwork, operating and maintaining packaging equipment, and following established safety, quality, and production procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of following written and verbal instructions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Basic understanding of EHS and quality policies.
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions in English.
- Basic math and communication skills.
- Ability to operate limited equipment and tools as assigned.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete all pertinent packaging and changeover paperwork.
- Perform and lead inventory counts.
- Apply instructions from the packaging specification sheet to the packaging line.
- Set up, operate, disassemble, clean, and troubleshoot the volumetric filler (cup).
- Set up, operate, disassemble, clean, and troubleshoot the auger filler.
- Set up, operate, disassemble, and clean the liquid filler.
- Operate the Inkjet system, bag sealer, case sealer, and taper as required.
- Assist with the operation of the Hayssen machine including training, placing film, and operating the empty bag sealer.
- Conduct Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures on all packaging equipment.
- Follow established EHS and quality standards.
