About The Position

Eaton’s EPG CHD EP Americas division is seeking an Operator I. The position is responsible for setting up and operating various machines to produce quality parts according to predetermined specifications. The hourly rate is $17.35. Salary information is a general guideline; compensation is based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

Requirements

• Be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Have knowledge of various measuring instruments and the ability to read blueprints.
• Meet ITAR requirements: be a U.S. person, defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.
• Remain standing for extended periods of up to 8 hours.
• Be able to regularly lift up to 35 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements.
• Set up, start, and monitor machine operations; detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and troubleshoot or adjust machine controls as needed.
• Operate a variety of machines as directed by a supervisor or lead.
• Complete changeovers and material feed-through.
• Complete first-piece inspections and machine-guarding checklists.
• Use gauges and calipers to inspect finished workpieces and verify that they conform to specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
