About The Position
Railserve is hiring dependable, safety-focused Operator/Helpers in Camrose, AB to support daily rail and transloading operations at an industrial facility. This is a full-time, outdoor, hands-on role critical to keeping railcars moving safely and efficiently. Railserve is a leading provider of industrial railyard services across the United States and Canada. Our teams deliver on-site rail switching, material handling and transloading, track construction and maintenance, and locomotive service and repair for customers who depend on safe, reliable rail operations every day. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check
- Dependable with reliable transportation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow direction from leadership
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions
Nice To Haves
- Military experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Operate hand and ground throw switches, derails, and gates
- Control movement of equipment using radio, hand signals, and lanterns
- Couple and uncouple railcars; handle air hoses and wheel chocks
- Apply and release hand brakes to secure or move equipment
- Assist with transloading activities, including handling liquid products from tank cars
- Monitor track and work areas for hazards or unsafe conditions
- Follow all operating procedures, safety rules, and regulatory requirements
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Perform additional duties as assigned
