About The Position

This role involves operating the Truck Wash Station, preparing trailers for loading, supplying departments with raw materials and packaging, performing cleaning duties, maintaining the warehouse and cooler, unloading materials, and assisting other departments as needed. The position also includes cross-training into other departments and undertaking special projects as directed.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and supplies such as vacuum, mop, and floor scrubber.
  • Ability to operate forklift.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks, and follow through to ensure completion of assignments.
  • Communication skills and customer service skills needed in relationships with coworkers, management and other departments within the company.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Must be well organized and able to manage multiple tasks, follow through on assigned tasks, and communicate issues to supervisor.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to accurately count multiple configurations of inventoried product and raw materials.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Forklift Certification Required

Responsibilities

  • Operation of the Truck Wash Station as per written procedures.
  • Prepare all trailers for loading per loading procedure and fill out the loading paper work.
  • Supply plant departments with necessary raw materials and packaging items.
  • Perform routine and non-routine cleaning inside and outside the facility as required by the department master cleaning schedule and/or the General Service Supervisor or Lead Operator.
  • Maintain the warehouse and cooler keeping each location clean and orderly.
  • Document, inspect, and unload materials as per written procedures.
  • Assist other departments with cleaning or production functions.
  • Cross train into other departments as necessary.
  • Special projects as directed by General Services Manager, Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager.
