About The Position

Under the direction of the supervisor, this individual is responsible for operating various pieces of equipment including hydraulic presses, hones, lathes, baking ovens, and CNC equipment. The role requires maintaining an orderly inventory of associated jigs, tools, dies, and measuring instruments. The operator must be able to run equipment at appropriate production levels, call up new programs, and change collets. The incumbent will perform offsets and change inserts as needed to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications. Responsibilities also include simple maintenance of tools and machines, maintaining accurate production records, keeping a safe and clean work area, moving work as required, and performing other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

Operating various pieces of equipment (hydraulic presses, hones, lathes, baking ovens, CNC equipment, etc.)

Performing simple maintenance of tools (e.g., sharpening) and machines (e.g., lubrication)

Performing any other reasonable duties as assigned
