About The Position

The Bulk Weigh Operator is needed in a detail-oriented and efficient team at DSM- Firmenich. As a Bulk Weight Operator, you will need a strong understanding of quality control and safety protocols to handle our product with the utmost care. A packer will also need to be able to accurately measure and label finished material throughout the process. Being able to work efficiently under pressure enables the company to meet tight deadlines and keep a smooth production flow.

Requirements

High School Diploma/Equivalent
SAP and inventory experience
Ability to lead and train Packer and/or Split on Standard Operating Procedures
At least one year of experience as a split operator or operator role
Progressively focused on safety and ergonomically functioning for the production floor team members. Follow all Safety Policies set by the company
Follow Kosher and USDA guidelines status and required labelling, and process instructions
Ability to troubleshoot, verify materials before, during and completed weigh process and inspect/confirm ingredients
Strong math aptitude for calculating Kilograms (Kg) per thousand (strong math aptitude suggested) and bag weights

Responsibilities

Can accurately weigh raw materials uses product code, batch numbers and SU’s for verifying ingredients are used
Accurate addition of materials according to work order sheet, doing so in a timely fashion
Accurately fill a daily packing sheet, ensure packaging and labelling of finish product meets the needs of customer or internal usages per instructions
Assist in the pre-weighing of materials, washing of tanks and materials used in daily production
Provide accurate count and packing sheets for daily production
Capable of performing or following GMP’s to provide a quality product, enforces safety rules and procedures
