About The Position

The Senior Specialist, Inventory is responsible for end-to-end inventory management across the New Ulm TTH manufacturing site, ensuring accurate stock levels, material availability, and compliance with company standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting production continuity, cost control, and operational efficiency. The position operates with a high degree of autonomy and partners cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Finance to ensure optimal inventory performance and alignment with site objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in regulated manufacturing (food, nutrition, or similar) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods within ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Optimize inventory levels (min/max, safety stock) aligned with production and supply planning
  • Ensure proper stock segmentation (e.g., quality hold, blocked, unrestricted use)
  • Ensure timely availability of materials to support uninterrupted production
  • Partner with planning and operations teams to align inventory with production schedules
  • Serve as a key liaison between Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, and Finance
  • Provide reporting and insights to support decision-making and financial accuracy
