About The Position

The Operator - Blending is responsible for blending raw materials according to specified formulas and procedures in a manufacturing environment. The role involves following blending instructions, preparing materials, accurately weighing and mixing chemicals, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety and quality procedures. The operator should be able to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating and communicating effectively with the team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing blending experience.
• Ability to focus and stay on task.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
• Adaptability to change.
• Willingness to wear safety equipment, including safety glasses, steel toe boots, a respirator, and a dust mask.
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow blending-sheet instructions and accurately record lot numbers for traceability.
• Identify and retrieve the correct raw materials and prepare the blending area.
• Follow company policies and procedures to support safety, product integrity, and quality; promptly recognize and report safety issues involving products or equipment.
• Weigh raw materials according to production orders and blend chemicals according to established guidelines.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, maintain good work habits, and follow established processes.
• Keep blending equipment operational by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and requesting repairs when needed.
• Communicate effectively with the team verbally and in writing.
• Maintain punctuality and regular attendance in accordance with company policy.
