About The Position

This is a temp-to-hire position located in Walhalla, SC working on 2nd Shift from 3:00PM-11:00PM. Pay Rate is $22.65/hr. Competitive benefits are offered through ETCON Employment Solutions at the time of hire. Primary function is to assist in set up, operate and maintain adjustments of various assembly machines (FA, FH, Inspect, etc.) as necessary to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Must have previous manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

Follow Standard Operating Procedure and Work Instructions.
Perform work in a systematic manner, when possible, to ensure all steps are carried out in proper sequence.
Adhere to Standard Work.
Responsible for assisting in changeover of machines and production lines when production is scheduled to change product.
Retrieve tooling for next setup & stage.
Efficient in removing/replacing tooling.
Retrieve components for next part and stage.
Clear bowls, pull/put away parts quickly.
Clean area of parts on floor, all loose parts in & around machine.
Strip tooling, FH snap & inspect.
Run samples on machine.
Install new tooling.
Fill bowls.
Notify C Operator in advance for final adjustment.
Have C Operator verify machine parameters & set FA sensors, eddy current, JF locator.
All clear completed & log signed off.
Determine causes of machine malfunctions, make adjustments or repair in order for machines to process materials in accordance with specifications.
Perform adjustments and address short stops to reduce production line stop.
Perform tool changes.
Perform operational preventive maintenance according to schedules.
Check cycle times to ensure production process is in accordance with process specifications.
If manufacturing process is causing quality issues, “B” Operator will stop production and consult with Team Leader personnel to correct. (Stop, Call, and Wait).
Cross Training is expected and done according to the Master Trainer "Cross Training Policy"!
Record production results, quality checks, traceability, and scrap as required.
Responsible for all 5-S and daily housekeeping.
Perform major cleanup on the lines as required.
This job requires that you be trained and certified under the "Authorized Lock out Tag out policy" respective to this job and the task being performed.
Train other associates as directed.
Adhere to company policies and regulations according to safety and environmental issues.
Initiate and participate in 5 why analysis of issues.
Perform all operations that “A” Operators can perform.
Employee may perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
