About The Position

We are seeking an Operator 3, Bakery-Oven - 3rd Shift to join our team at our Van Nuys, CA bakery. As an Operator 3, Bakery-Oven - 3rd Shift, you will be accountable for coordinating and overseeing Proof Box and Oven operations to ensure products meet precise bake, color, texture, and quality specifications. You will support production by setting process controls, directing Bakers, and maintaining smooth communication with the Rheon Line Operator.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1–3 months of related bakery, oven, or production experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. safely
• Ability to understand and follow production procedures, quality standards, and safety rules
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience in industrial bakery environments or oven/proofing systems
• Familiarity with process‑control adjustments and conveyor‑based equipment
• Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to train and guide team members
• Strong attention to detail regarding product quality and equipment performance
• Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical or process‑flow issues

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Proof Box and Oven operations to ensure process controls meet product specifications
• Monitor dough units for proper size, texture, color, volume, and shaping throughout final proofing and baking
• Set and adjust baking parameters including oven zones, proof humidity, belt speeds, and dwell time
• Direct Bakers at each workstation and ensure tools—such as cutting blades—are safe and adequately supplied
• Collaborate with the Rheon Line Operator to resolve quality, mechanical, and process‑flow issues
• Maintain oven, proof box, conveyors, and surrounding work areas in clean, safe, and food‑safe condition
• Support continuous improvement and uphold quality, legality, and food‑safety standards across operations
