About The Position

MPS is seeking entry-level Operators for its York, South Carolina manufacturing facility, which has approximately 400 employees. The Operator performs work associated with the operation of assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role is available on first, second, or third shift, with shift-specific schedules and hourly rates. Operators work in a dynamic environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and professional growth, and are expected to support the company’s goal of zero safety or environmental incidents.

Requirements

• Basic technical understanding of machinery.
• Problem-solving skills and safety awareness.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and machine specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned mechanical equipment and applicable hand tools.
• Complete first-piece inspections as needed.
• Ensure produced items meet quality control requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, as applicable.
• Use basic measuring instruments.
• Complete all necessary documentation fully and accurately.
• Adhere to 5S standards, including maintaining a clean work area.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
