About The Position
Join a dynamic warehouse team as an Operator 2, Warehouse Operations, in Covington, Georgia. This hands-on role is in an energetic, fast-paced, metrics-driven environment and involves material handling and equipment operation to support warehouse operations. On-the-job training and advancement possibilities are available. The schedule is overnight, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The role is listed as a contractor position and pays $19 per hour. The position requires warehouse equipment operation, inventory recordkeeping, adherence to standard operating procedures and quality guidelines, and compliance with safety protocols. Physical duties include lifting more than 50 pounds, standing, walking, repetitive hand use, and working around varying temperatures.
Requirements
- Experience operating a forklift; a completed forklift questionnaire is required with the application.
- General computer skills for inventory management.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work overnight shifts Monday through Thursday, 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
- Comfort with physical demands, including lifting, standing, and exposure to varying temperatures.
- Zero to one year of warehouse or related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret work documents in English and perform basic math calculations.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior training or certification in material handling, logistics, or manufacturing production.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and follow established SOPs and quality guidelines.
- Complete routine tasks using basic operational procedures and analytical methods.
- Read and interpret work documents in English and perform basic math calculations.
- Work efficiently in a metrics-driven environment and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Adhere to safety protocols and help maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Perform physical duties including lifting over 50 pounds, standing, walking, and repetitive hand use.
