About The Position
We are seeking an Operator 2, Bakery- Ingredient (L7) - 2nd Shift to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operator 2, Bakery- Ingredient (L7) - 2nd Shift, you will be accountable for accurately measuring, preparing, and labeling ingredients to support efficient, high‑quality mixing operations and maintain full traceability and food safety standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months of general labor experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to accurately document ingredients and mixing data
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- Ability to work with computers and operating screens
- Ability to lift and handle ingredients up to 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in food manufacturing
- Familiarity with GMPs, SOPs, and food safety practices
- Problem‑solving and reasoning skills
- Experience supporting continuous improvement activities
Responsibilities
- Prepare and measure ingredients with accuracy to support consistent, high‑quality batch production
- Maintain ingredient traceability in accordance with PCE guidelines and documentation standards
- Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring proper labeling, rotation, and storage—including refrigerated items
- Keep prep, wash, cooler, and storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with GMP and food safety standards
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Mixer, Machine Operator, and production team to support efficient operations
- Monitor and maintain proper functioning of scaling tools such as weight scales, scanners, and related equipment
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time to support compliance and batch integrity
