If you’re ready to grow with us, we’d love to hear from you. We are seeking an Operator 1, Bakery- Ingredient - 2nd Shift to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operator 1, Bakery- Ingredient - 2nd Shift, you will be accountable for accurately preparing, scaling, and mixing ingredients according to recipe specifications while ensuring consistent dough quality, food safety compliance, and efficient production operations. This role is vital to maintaining product consistency, supporting production schedules, and delivering high-quality bakery products that meet Aspire Bakeries’ standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing, production, or related manufacturing environment, or transferable production skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes, specifications, and written procedures.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills for production documentation and inventory tracking.
  • Ability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work safely while following GMP, food safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work required shift schedules.

Nice To Haves

  • Bakery or dough-mixing experience.
  • Experience with automated mixing equipment or Rheon Line systems.
  • Familiarity with ingredient inventory control and lot traceability processes.
  • Experience managing temperature-controlled ingredients and dough processes.
  • Participation in continuous improvement or quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and mix ingredients according to approved recipes and production specifications.
  • Monitor dough characteristics to ensure consistent product quality and performance.
  • Manage ingredient inventory, lot traceability, and usage accuracy.
  • Support production efficiency by coordinating mixing activities with line requirements.
  • Maintain accurate production, inventory, and batch documentation.
  • Maintain sanitary, organized, and food-safe work areas and equipment.
  • Promote food safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and contamination prevention throughout the manufacturing process.
