About The Position

Join our dynamic warehouse team as an Operator 1, Forklift Contractor, where you will play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, offering competitive pay at $16.50/hr. As a valued team member, you will operate forklifts and other equipment to move materials and products efficiently in our Covington, GA location.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse, material handling, or related experience.
• Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain required certifications.
• Effective communication skills and ability to comprehend written English instructions.
• Basic math, computer, and record-keeping skills.
• Physical ability to lift/move items over 50 lbs and perform tasks involving frequent walking, standing, bending, and repetitive motions.
• Comfortable working in fluctuating temperatures and moderate to loud noise environments.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a production or logistics environment.
• Previous exposure to inventory management systems.
• Familiarity with safety and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to transport materials and finished goods within the facility.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to established quality guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report any issues promptly.
• Assist with loading and unloading shipments and organizing warehouse inventory.
• Work collaboratively under general supervision to meet daily productivity goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
