If you’re ready to grow with us, we’d love to hear from you. About the Role We are seeking an Operator 1 to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operator 1, you will assist in the operation of production equipment and support the bakery line to ensure smooth workflow and product quality. This role focuses on material handling, monitoring processes, and maintaining cleanliness while adhering to safety and GMP standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written).
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible to work various shifts as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced production or packing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support setup and operation of production equipment under supervision.
  • Monitor product flow and report irregularities to Operator 3 or Supervisor.
  • Maintain raw material supply on the line as directed.
  • Ensure cleanliness and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Assist with equipment start-up and shutdown procedures.
  • Perform basic checks on product quality and report deviations immediately.
  • Follow all GMP and Health & Safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
  • Document issues or observations in the production log.
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or contamination risks promptly.
  • Participate in team communication and continuous improvement activities.
