About The Position

Janney is hiring an Operations Trade Support Associate to join its Middle Office team. The role serves as a liaison between trading desks, other operations teams, and counterparties throughout the trade life cycle, helping ensure accurate trade details, appropriate regulatory reporting, and timely settlement. The team supports equities, fixed income, options, and derivative products. The position requires collaboration with groups including the trading desk, Private Client Group, Settlements, Compliance, and other operations departments. Janney is operating under a hybrid model, which may change at the manager’s or firm’s discretion.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
0–2 years of experience in financial services, operations, or a related field; internships are considered.
Technically proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Obtain the SIE within 6 months of hire and Series 99 (or Series 7) within 1 year of hire.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of and experience in the financial industry.
FINRA SIE and Series 99 (or Series 7) certification, or ability to obtain both within 1 year of hire.
Familiarity with BetaNxt, Bloomberg, and Flex Trading.

Responsibilities

Review reconciliation reports and research outstanding items.
Book trades and complete allocations.
Set up new accounts and escalate matters to the AML/Risk Department as needed.
Resolve trade rejections, discrepancies, and settlement fails.
Complete trade corrections.
Monitor regulatory reporting, track required details, and work with Compliance as needed.
Identify potential process deficiencies and risk situations, escalating them to management as required.
Communicate and collaborate with internal and external parties to resolve outstanding trade matching and settlement issues.
Look proactively for process improvements and participate in assigned team projects, process improvements, and system enhancements.
