About The Position
Trident Consulting is seeking an Operations Technician for a client in Carlsbad, California. The role involves processing returned chemical containers, including decontamination, acid washing, nitrogen purging, vessel rebuilding, and chemical filling. This is a contract position scheduled Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, at a pay rate of $28 per hour on W-2.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working with chemicals and solvents, including acids, acetone, and isopropyl alcohol (IPA).
- Must be clean-shaven to use a full-face respirator.
- Comfortable handling chemicals and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must pass the required physical evaluation, background check, and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- SAP experience is highly preferred.
- Forklift experience is preferred; onsite training is available.
Responsibilities
- Clean, decontaminate, and rebuild chemical vessels.
- Handle acids, acetone, isopropyl alcohol (IPA), and other chemicals safely.
- Use hand tools, including torque wrenches.
- Inspect containers, perform data entry, and maintain documentation.
- Assist with material receiving and equipment troubleshooting.
- Perform acid washing, nitrogen purging, and chemical filling.
