About The Position

Gateway Services provides compassionate pet aftercare services to families and veterinary partners. The Operations Team Member helps ensure each pet entrusted to the company’s care is treated with dignity, respect, and attention to detail. The role involves operating cremation equipment, processing cremated remains, creating memorial products, conducting quality checks, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Training is provided; previous industry experience is not required.

This is an on-site position at a Gateway Care Center in Champaign, Illinois. It is scheduled full-time, Monday through Friday, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., for 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs. The active work involves standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift. The position requires comfort working around deceased pets and may be emotionally demanding; team members have access to Gateway CarePath, a confidential emotional wellness and resilience program.

Responsibilities

• Operate cremation equipment according to established procedures.
• Process and package cremated remains accurately and carefully.
• Create memorial products, including paw prints and keepsakes.
• Perform quality checks to ensure orders are completed correctly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Work with teammates to meet daily production goals.
