About The Position

Responsible for providing input and influencing key decisions relating to all aspects of operations, under the leadership of the Operations Manager. This position supports the Operations Manager by collaborating with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Pricing and Production Control departments influencing that all jobs are completed per requirements, within budget, and to customer specifications. Responsible for oversight of improved process or operational policies, as guided by the Operations Manager. Recommends changes to products or services to fulfill customer needs. The Operations Support Lead will work closely with the Operations Manager regarding departmental long-term planning, budgeting, and proposing. Consistent evaluation of maintenance and improvements, partnering with leads to ensure resolution of issues, and consistently directing the evolution of processes and procedures related to the day to day operations of included departments. Develop and report on metrics via end products and performance. Drive technical staff to monitor and resolve customer issues and accomplish objectives by being a role model to impress upon staff to be self-motivated with the ambition to problem-solve, learn and create their own mechanisms for resolving issues and most importantly, communicate effectively within a team environment. Plan projects, training, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and milestones, as needed. To meet / exceed expected reliability standards as assigned by the Operations Manager. May have some supervisory responsibilities, as assigned by the Operations Manager. To meet / exceed duties and tasks administratively and organizationally as assigned by the Operations Manager Executes resource management. Enforces Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies. Evaluates and updates employee training requirements. Implements change and promotes continual improvement. Analyzing, formulating and reporting quality metrics to executive management and customers. Interacting with other team members, including managers from other departments or directorates. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Advanced computer skills especially Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas with limited information in high stress situations and environments
  • Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions
  • Must be able to communicate issues to management and regulatory agencies
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff
  • Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform; general decisions are made to solve a problem or select a course of action for a standard or recognized method of operation

  • BA/BS degree with 1+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Purchasing, Pricing and Production Control or 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Purchasing, Pricing and Production Control
  • Ability to maintain a government security clearance
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening
