About The Position

Momar, Inc., a specialty chemical manufacturer, is looking for an Operations Support Coordinator to join our Operations team. This is a great opportunity for a versatile, detail-oriented professional who enjoys variety and wants to build broad operational expertise across a growing organization. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you'll provide flexible, cross-functional support across Invoicing, Purchasing, Logistics, Customer Service, AquaTrol Operations, and Mintech Operations. You'll learn each department's core processes well enough to step in during staffing shortages, absences, or peak workloads — and you'll partner directly with the Director of Operations on projects to document procedures, identify efficiencies, and help the team run smoother. This role evolves as our business needs change, offering ongoing opportunities to grow your skill set.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn new systems and department-specific procedures quickly and accurately
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing shifting priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence coordinating across departments, supervisors, customers, carriers, and vendors
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when transitioning between tasks
  • Sound judgment on when to act independently vs. escalate
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a role that evolves over time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to navigate multiple systems, including an ERP platform
  • Basic data analysis skills to support process-improvement work
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years in an operations, administrative, customer service, purchasing, or logistics role — experience spanning more than one functional area is a plus
  • ERP experience required (SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, or related field preferred
  • Microsoft Navision (NAV) experience preferred
  • Track record of cross-training into new processes without extensive ramp-up
  • Manufacturing, distribution, or chemical industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Learn and maintain working proficiency across Invoicing, Purchasing, Logistics, Customer Service, AquaTrol Administration, and Mintech Administration to provide reliable backup coverage
  • Provide temporary staffing coverage across departments during absences, vacancies, or peak volume, coordinating with department supervisors
  • Help develop, document, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and support implementation of approved process improvements
  • Participate in cross-departmental projects, tracking timelines and deliverables
  • Maintain job aids, workflow guides, and checklists to support consistent cross-training
  • Serve as a liaison between departments during coverage assignments and transitions
  • Escalate discrepancies, process gaps, or compliance concerns to leadership
  • Support onboarding and cross-training of other staff
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer, vendor, pricing, and operational data
