About The Position

Under the guidelines of the nursing management team, the Operations Support Coordinator in the Family Birthing Center is accountable for the smooth operation of the units of the Family Birthing Center. The OB The Coordinator is responsible for the direct coordination of care for the mother and newborns, which includes the environment, equipment, staff requirements, and the implementation of new projects and workflow processes. Additionally, the Coordinator is a valuable resource for staff and collaborating departments in the areas of workflow processes, birth certificates, and perinatal loss documents. It is the Coordinator's responsibility to facilitate the collection and analysis of quality and metric data for the state, including vital statistics, hearing screens, and other state mandated reports. Assistance in the coordination of staff and provider activities for departmental and staff meetings. Delegating, communicating, thinking critically about operational issues, onboarding new employees, and supporting the staff, providers, residents, medical, and nursing students, and organizing and facilitating staff, and obstetric and pediatric department meetings are among the primary responsibilities of this position. This position ensures that all on-call schedules are current, equipment is prepared, and downtime processes and documentation are in place.

Requirements

  • Associate degree required
  • Three years of experience in administrative support, scheduling, operations coordination required
  • IT and computer program knowledge
  • Experience in patient relation and customer service
  • Collaboration with supporting specialty departments
  • Expertise with Obstetric Department equipment use, maintenance and acquisition

Responsibilities
