Oliver Wyman is seeking an Operations Supply Chain – Principal to join their Operations practice. This role focuses on helping clients manage and optimize their operations, improve delivery and cost efficiency, and become market leaders. The practice develops innovative solutions to enhance supply chain performance and results, supporting clients end-to-end from raw material to production, distribution, and services. They partner with businesses across various industries and geographies to ensure their supply chain produces the best value and competitiveness. The firm utilizes a broad supply chain management toolkit, including AI-driven tools like a machine learning-based forecasting platform, combined with deep project expertise and proven methods. As a professional member, responsibilities include managing project workstreams, developing hypotheses, managing data collection, model creation, analyses, conducting research, tackling information limitations, surfacing insights, synthesizing findings into presentations, and supporting the Partner group in project delivery.

Requirements

Operational experience in discreet or continuous manufacturing industries.
Experience across the operations – product development, planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, distribution – depth in any of these desired.
Experience in leading or being part of improvement efforts in operations space.
Strong curiosity and continuous learning mentality.
Strong problem structuring and analytical skills.
Strategic thinking and attention to detail.
Ability to work in teams and lead others.
Refined written communication and oral presentation skills.
4-7+ years of consulting experience in operations – in the industry and / or with consulting firms.

Nice To Haves

Experience in tools/systems for supply chain optimization and IT-enablement preferred.
Certifications - Strong preference on Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP), American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS / ISCM) OR Institute for Supply Management (ISM).
Experience with proposal development, strong commercial instincts, and interest.
Experience with a top tier management consulting firm preferred.
