About The Position

As an Operations Supervisor, you’ll lead the day-to-day manufacturing operation while keeping what matters most at the center of every shift: people safety, food safety, quality, customer service, productivity, efficiency, cost performance, and OEE. You’ll coach and develop teams and partner closely with technicians and fellow supervisors to build strong standard work, drive continuous improvement, and deliver business results—while fostering a learning environment rooted in teamwork and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Management, Science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of combined related experience preferred (food processing/packaging experience preferred).
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Provides technical expertise and has experience with all processes.
  • Organizing and planning; drive for results; action oriented; builds effective teams; conflict management; problem solving; timely decision making; clear communication; composure; approachability; command skills; business acumen; functional/technical skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and inspire others.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership for manufacturing operations to achieve safety, food safety, quality, service, productivity, efficiency, cost, and OEE targets.
  • Develop and coach operations employees to meet/exceed performance expectations and company standards for personal safety, productivity, quality, food safety, sanitation, environmental and regulatory compliance, and SQF.
  • Manage, prioritize, and coordinate finished product, packaging, raw materials, and WIP inventory to meet production needs, quality standards, and cost constraints; coordinate work activities and production scheduling to meet demand.
  • Strengthen team communication and accountability—serve as a resource for employees and help address personnel and production problems.
  • Maintain operations facilities, equipment, and systems in functional, sanitary, and safe condition while meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Perform safety, GMP, and pre-operational audits and ensure safety guidelines are understood, incidents reported, deficiencies addressed, and emergencies handled correctly.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on yield, OEE, engagement, safety, and quality—improving processing and packaging efficiencies.
  • Implement new operating procedures; recommend and implement equipment changes; influence product/process/material changes.
  • Help develop and execute training programs; support team member development (including leadership development and outside education) and communicate training status.
  • Ensure smooth shift-to-shift performance through effective communication and shift transfer meetings.
  • Serve as stand-in for the Operations Manager during absences/vacations; mentor other supervisors and team leads.
  • Where applicable, honor and respect the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) to support prompt, peaceful resolution of workplace differences.
  • All other duties as required.
