About The Position

The Operations Supervisor oversees all aspects of day-to-day production, manufacturing, and distribution of personnel activities. This role involves leading team meetings, facilitating continuous improvements in the process with an emphasis on quality and reduction of cost and waste. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring the production of a quality product, meeting production/customer specifications, and achieving plant productivity objectives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong decision-making skills and proven ability to prioritize department needs.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Must be able to hold employees accountable to ensure rules within the Company handbook are being followed and address employee issues and concerns.
  • Individual must be able to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Engineering, Business, Management) preferred.
  • Experience with WorkForce “Time Keeping and Attendance” is a plus.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and correct unsafe situations and/or behaviors and model safety in all actions.
  • Report, evaluate, and investigate work-related accidents, identifying contributing factors and implementing corrective actions.
  • Plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively.
  • Adapt to a rapidly changing environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Assess situations, make judgments, analyze problems, make logical decisions, and carry out those decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with other supervisors to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Communicate all needed information thoroughly with other shifts.
  • Collaborate with management, maintenance, quality, and engineering to solve production challenges.
  • Enforce company policies and rules.
  • Ensure safe working conditions and rectify any issues.
  • Train, motivate, discipline, and measure employees’ performance, including completing written evaluations of full-time, direct reports under the guidance of the Value Stream Manager.
  • Supervise overall operations by planning, prioritizing, organizing, and delegating work effectively.
  • Troubleshoot production and prep lines and coach line operators.
  • Ensure general operating procedures and guidelines are followed in production by all personnel.
  • Participate in continuous improvement teams and provide leadership and support to meet and exceed targeted capital costs.
  • Employ the principles of lean manufacturing for elimination of waste and optimization of labor efficiencies.
  • Correct improper and unsafe work activities to minimize risk.
  • Ensure safety documents for direct reports are up-to-date and easy to understand.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
