About The Position

Lee Health & Rehab Center is seeking a Full Time Nursing Supervisor (RN) for their facility in Pennington Gap, VA. This position works the Graveyard shift from 7pm to 7am. The Nursing Supervisor serves as a liaison between the clinical team, physicians, diagnostic agencies, and referral sources. They advocate for the clinical team, support a team environment, and participate in the center's Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Program. This role reports significant clinical personnel issues and patient care concerns to the Director of Nursing, and supervises and directs licensed and non-licensed nursing employees. The supervisor directs and oversees patient care delivery, reports significant changes in patient condition, conducts chart audits, and participates in clinical rounds with medical providers. They also review physician orders, address complaints, and participate in patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, providing reports for new admissions. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in good standing with the VA Department of Health Professions or compact state.
  • Current CPR Healthcare Provider certification.

  • Two years of Nursing management preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serves as liaison between the clinical team, physician/physician extenders, diagnostic agencies and sources of referrals for new patients.
  • Advocates on behalf of the clinical team by supporting and promoting a team environment.
  • Supports and participates in the center's Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Program.
  • Reports pertinent clinical personnel issues and patient-care areas of concern to the Director of Nursing.
  • Supervises and directs licensed and non-licensed nursing employees.
  • Directs and supervises the delivery of patient care.
  • Reports any significant change in a patient's condition to other clinical team members.
  • Routinely conduct chart audits.
  • Participates in clinical rounds with medical providers.
  • Review physician orders with follow up.
  • Address complaints and follow up in a timely manner.
  • Participates in the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
  • Provides report for new admissions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
