About The Position

The Operations Supervisor at The Dome by Rutter Mills plays a key role in ensuring the seamless execution of daily venue operations, changeovers, and general building maintenance. You’ll work closely with the Ops Manager to ensure smooth day-of-show operations, addressing guest inquiries, resolving concerns, and maintaining high service standards. Requirements

  • Working knowledge of high-volume venue operations and guest relations
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions and effectively diffuse problematic situations
  • Skills in guest relations/staff relations- Assessing and anticipating special needs of guests
  • Prioritization of duties and effective communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/issues at one time effectively, with an upbeat attitude
  • Communicate well with team members and managers and foster an atmosphere of unity and camaraderie
  • Commitment to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed based on operational demands.
  • Be extremely reliable, dependable, and responsible
  • High School Diploma required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a live music environment
  • College diploma in related field

Responsibilities

  • Works directly with the Ops Manager to perform day of show duties and helps implement process improvements and operational strategies
  • Oversee venue operations to ensure efficiency, organization, and adherence to venue policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular inspections of venue spaces to ensure cleanliness, property maintenance, organization, and readiness for events and daily operations
  • Oversee regular preventive and general maintenance around the site including painting, cleaning, and misc. projects
  • Monitor and address operational challenges in real time, proactively identifying and resolving issues
  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area and reporting any issues encountered
  • Perform opening/running/closing duties according to Live Nation policy
  • Keep current on all Standard Operating Procedures and be able to effectively communicate them to team members
  • Communicate to M.O.D. any issues that guests or team members may have
  • Work with the M.O.D. to resolve any and all guest issues- consults or involves management if the situation escalates
  • Serve as a key point of contact between venue staff, guests, and senior management, facilitating clear and effective communication
  • Ensure that all staff members adhere to company policies, SOPs, guest service standards, and safety regulations
  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence
  • Required to work all changeovers that are scheduled throughout the venue
  • Possess a problem-solving and growth mindset
  • Willing to help in any department wherever is needed
  • Other related duties as assigned by management
