About The Position

ShipMonk is seeking early-career talent to join their Las Vegas fulfillment operations as an Operations Supervisor. This role offers hands-on leadership experience, moving beyond observation to direct management of a team and operational processes. The position is designed for individuals who have studied relevant fields or gained initial exposure through internships or part-time work and are ready to take on frontline leadership responsibilities. You will lead approximately 25-30 associates, manage performance, work with operational data, solve problems, and contribute to departmental improvements. Requirements

  • An interest in building a career in operations, supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, or people leadership
  • Exposure to a professional or operational environment through an internship, co-op, part-time job, project, or other relevant experience
  • Demonstrated leadership potential through work experience, campus organizations, athletics, volunteer leadership, military experience, or other team environments
  • Comfort working with data and metrics to understand performance and solve problems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to spend the majority of the shift on the fulfillment floor working directly with your team
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime based on business needs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • A degree, current enrollment, or coursework in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Internship or co-op experience in supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, distribution, manufacturing, transportation, or operations
  • Coursework or project experience involving operations management, supply chain analytics, Lean, Six Sigma, process improvement, or data analysis
  • Previous experience leading a team, project, student organization, athletic team, or other group

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop approximately 25–30 warehouse associates
  • Run shift huddles and set clear daily priorities for your team
  • Monitor productivity, throughput, quality, accuracy, attendance, and safety
  • Learn how to allocate labor based on volume and operational priorities
  • Use data to understand performance and identify root causes
  • Coach associates and provide clear, timely feedback
  • Partner with Operations leaders and teams across HR, Safety, Quality, and Engineering
  • Help onboard and train new associates
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve processes
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work area
  • Learn the operation from the floor up while progressively taking greater ownership
