About The Position

Supervises the parking staff and operation at night when the manager and assistant manager are not on duty. Olympia Parking colleagues are committed to being the very best in all that we do. All of Olympia Parking’s facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and each is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk of entertainment venues operated by Ilitch Sports + Entertainment. Requirements

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or colleagues of organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Sports and Entertainment Industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff.

  • Collect revenues and write out daily report.
  • Lock and close lots.
  • Directly supervises 20 colleagues in the Parking Department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training colleagues; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining colleagues; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
