Martz Bus is hiring an Operations Supervisor – Central Dispatch to oversee daily motor coach operations, supervise drivers, and manage real-time dispatch across multiple locations. This role ensures safe, reliable service and requires strong decision-making in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of DOT or transportation experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with MCOs, operating locations, customers, and management
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and company policies
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced transportation environment
  • Ability to analyze operational situations, solve practical problems, and make sound decisions when faced with multiple variables or limited standardization
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word, and MCO scheduling or dispatch management systems
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule in a 24-hour operations environment, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Motor Coach Operators (MCOs) and manage daily performance
  • Coordinate and authorize charter and line run departures
  • Conduct driver pre-trip check-ins (safety, route, readiness)
  • Monitor operations in real time and respond to service issues
  • Adjust driver assignments and coordinate service recovery
  • Ensure compliance with DOT hours-of-service regulations
  • Maintain dispatch logs and operational documentation
  • Communicate with drivers and locations throughout shifts
  • Schedule 4 days on / 4 days off 12-hour shifts (7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m)
