L&S Terminals is seeking a highly motivated individual to perform and champion safe and reliable operations at all terminal locations, taking a lead role in the development and implementation of Energy Isolation Plans, Maintenance Energy Control Procedures and Commissioning Decommissioning and Recommissioning Plans (CDRs). They will develop and provide necessary tools, training, and work processes to effectively plan and safely implement operations and project field work. The Operations Specialist home location will be in Mt.Airy, LA. This position will also support El Paso, TX, with occasional travel.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Two (2) years of related experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of Energy Isolation Process preferred.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft applications, business applications, procedure writing applications and documents management systems is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, and drafts energy isolation plans to ensure the safe execution of project and maintenance work.
  • Develops, updates, and manages procedures, policies, standards, and other documents to ensure compliance and conformance with company policies.
  • Leads and/or supports field-based audits.
  • Supports the Management of Change (MOC) process by completing reviews and updates.
  • Leads in the development of project work plans, such as CDRs.
  • Serves as the initial contact for energy isolation questions and concerns.
  • Facilitates discussions and acceptance of approved processes and standards.
  • Serves as champion of change within their Area.
  • Participates in incident investigations when appropriate and share and learnings within their Area.
  • Participates in teams and special assignments as assigned by the leadership.
  • Participates in SHS and emergency response events as required.
  • Holds general overall knowledge of operations within their Area.
  • In co-located facilities, works in collaboration across components.
  • Supports Elite Safety Leadership journey.
