About The Position
DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash focused on exploring robotics and automation to transform last-mile logistics. This role supports daily ground operations for drone deliveries, ensuring they are safe, accurate, and efficient. The specialist will pick up orders from merchants, prepare them for delivery, provide feedback for process improvement, act as a community ambassador for drone delivery, and remain adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with teammates, merchants, and partners is key, as is clear communication and a professional presence. The role involves engaging with customers, merchants, and community members in a friendly and respectful manner, and sharing on-the-ground observations to improve the service and community adoption.
Requirements
- Comfortable working outdoors and energized by being part of something new and innovative.
- Ready to be a brand ambassador—representing the company well in interactions with merchants and customers.
- A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license, as the role requires traveling to merchant locations to pick up orders.
