About The Position
DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash focused on exploring robotics and automation to transform last-mile logistics. This role supports daily ground operations for drone deliveries, ensuring they are safe, accurate, and efficient. The specialist will pick up orders from merchants, prepare them for delivery, and provide feedback to improve processes. A key aspect of the role is being a visible, professional presence in the community, building awareness and trust in drone delivery, and remaining adaptable in a fast-moving environment. Collaboration with teammates, merchants, and partners is essential, as is clear communication and a team culture built on accountability and respect. The role also involves representing the program professionally and engaging with customers, merchants, and community members in a friendly, informed, and respectful manner, sharing observations to improve the service and community adoption.
Requirements
- Comfortable working outdoors and energized by being part of something new and innovative.
- Ready to be a brand ambassador—representing the company well in interactions with merchants and customers.
- A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license, as the role requires traveling to merchant locations to pick up orders.
