About The Position

Provide administrative support to U.S. Army Redstone Test Center’s (RTC’s) Aviation Flight Test Directorate (AFTD), Attack & Unmanned Aerial Systems Test Division. This role involves managing organizational calendars, handling communications, assisting with timekeeping and training records, preparing correspondence and purchase requests, submitting work orders, performing employee in- and out-processing, managing labor utilization tracking, and using specialized software to monitor employee training, certifications, and equipment. The position also supports the Program Manager with contract labor metrics and assists with material purchase requests and invoicing. On-site support and liaison with Human Resources for the Medical Surveillance Program are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience providing administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.
  • DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Satisfactory background screening.
  • Negative drug test.
  • Positive references.
  • Proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior military organization employment as military or civilian, and corresponding understanding of military headquarters staff organization, roles, and relationships.
  • Executive-level or senior manager-level administrative support.
  • Professional user of Microsoft’s Office suite of software and applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), as well as SharePoint.

Responsibilities

  • Manage organizational calendars in Microsoft Outlook and other digital means.
  • Receive and route incoming communications, including telephone calls, e-mail messages, and postal mail.
  • Assist in management of timekeeping records for Government employees in Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS).
  • Track mandatory training using Army Test & Evaluation Command (ATEC) Training Tracker Module (ATTM).
  • Prepare and edit correspondence in accordance with Army Regulation 25-50, Preparing and Managing Correspondence.
  • Prepare purchase requests.
  • Submit and track work orders.
  • Perform on-site employee in- and out-processing.
  • Coordinate all related functions with parent company Human Resources and RDSS II directorate/division leadership.
  • Manage labor utilization tracking accounts in cloud-based Tracker application for RDSS II employees.
  • Use RTC’s data network and PC-based software application, CertTRAX, to track and monitor currency of RDSS II employees’ specialized training, qualifications, certifications, and expirations; cold and wet weather clothing allowances, and personal protective equipment (PPE); Medical Surveillance Program (MSP) categorical requirements and status.
  • Provide metrics to the Program Manager on RTC contract labor requirements, Request for Hire (RFH) status, and contract retention.
  • Assist the RDSS II Program Analyst in weekly receipt, review, and coalescing of labor hours from RDSS II supervisor groups of employees for submission to RTC.
  • Assist the RDSS II Program Analyst and Purchaser with material purchase requests (MPRs), MPR expense reports, and invoicing preparation.
  • Provide on-site support and liaison with 5SRC Human Resources staff in executing 5SRC’s Medical Surveillance Program (MSP) for 5SRC employees.
