Operations SME - ERP

Veralto GlobalLondon, ON
Hybrid

About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations - Global Manufacturing and Distribution, the Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ERP will join our Infor LN Cloud implementation team. In this role, you will serve as the primary business voice for the Operations function throughout the full ERP implementation lifecycle, covering manufacturing, production planning, and logistics/distribution processes from design and fit/gap analysis through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover, and hypercare stabilization. This is a 100% dedicated, full-time project role. You will not configure the system. Your accountability is to define, validate, and test, ensuring that Infor LN accurately reflects Trojan's end-to-end manufacturing and distribution operations. You will work closely with IT, the system integrator, and cross-functional SMEs in Finance and Supply Chain to deliver a solution that is operationally sound and go-live ready. The position is hybrid, with onsite presence required in London, Ontario.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Operations across at least two of the following functions: Production, Planning, and Procurement, with demonstrated breadth across the full manufacturing and distribution value chain.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with ERP systems in an operational environment (Infor LN experience strongly preferred).
  • Proven ability to define business requirements, document end-to-end processes, and validate system configurations across multiple Operations sub-areas.
  • Experience leading or executing UAT, system testing, or process validation activities in a structured project environment.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with IT, system integrators, and business stakeholders across multiple functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with Infor LN (on-premise or cloud).
  • Participation in a full-cycle ERP implementation.
  • Familiarity with VES tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Operations across manufacturing, planning, and logistics/distribution in fit/gap workshops, assessing where standard Infor LN processes align, partially fit, or require business process change.
  • Document current-state (as-is) and future-state (to-be) business processes across the full Operations value chain: manufacturing execution, production planning, inventory management, and outbound logistics.
  • Define detailed functional requirements and business rules covering shop floor control, work order management, production scheduling, demand planning, warehouse operations, and distribution.
  • Review and formally approve configuration decisions made by IT or the integrator across all Operations sub-areas. Not configuring, but accepting and validating design choices.
  • Identify, escalate, and help resolve process gaps between Infor LN standard functionality and Trojan's operational requirements across manufacturing, planning, and logistics.
  • Validate and sign off on master data relevant to Operations including work centers, routings, bills of materials (BOMs), item masters, warehouse locations, and planning parameters prior to migration.
  • Develop and review UAT test scripts and test scenarios covering end-to-end Operations flows: plan to produce, procure to stock, and ship to customer.
  • Lead and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), confirming that configured processes meet business requirements across all Operations sub-areas.
  • Log, triage, and actively participate in defect resolution, providing business context and validating fixes.
  • Participate in integration testing to ensure end-to-end process flows work across functions (Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality).
  • Validate planning parameters and scheduling logic in Infor LN, including capacity planning, MRP/MPS settings, and demand signals.
  • Confirm logistics and distribution processes are correctly configured, including outbound shipping, carrier management, and warehouse management workflows.
  • Support cutover planning, identifying Operations-specific tasks, sequencing, and dependencies across manufacturing, planning, and distribution.
  • Confirm go/no-go readiness for the Operations workstream based on UAT results, data quality, and user preparedness.
  • Act as a change champion within Operations, building awareness and readiness among colleagues across the shop floor, planning team, and distribution centre.
  • Provide input into training materials and support end-user readiness for Infor LN across all Operations roles.
  • Serve as primary Operations contact during hypercare, triaging and resolving issues raised by end users post go-live across manufacturing, planning, and logistics.
  • Other duties as assigned. The associate may be asked to perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.
