This position is within the Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance, Bureau of Enforcement, Consumer Services Unit. The role involves analyzing and processing various types of medical and allied health complaints, including Code 15 Reports, civil malpractice settlements, civil complaints, hospital disciplinary reports, internet prescribing/unlicensed storefront pharmacies, and consumer complaints against Florida health care licensees. The specialist will determine conformity with quality assurance principles and standards, analyze complex data, and develop solutions. The role also includes consulting with organizations, interpreting statutes and regulations, conducting investigations, issuing subpoenas and citations, preparing investigative reports, providing technical assistance, researching and disseminating reports, acting as a liaison, evaluating laws and rules, representing the agency at meetings and hearings, assisting in mediation, and training others on new procedures. The position is located in Tallahassee, FL.
