About The Position

SAIC is seeking an Operations Research Manager to act as a Warfighter Integration Manager. The role calls for in-depth knowledge of USAF Command & Control (C2) processes, tools, and technologies, as well as hands-on experience planning and implementing operational strategies aligned with mission objectives. The manager interfaces with mission partners and stakeholders to identify warfighting gaps and needs and translate them into product vision and goals. The role supports data integration for warfighter use, works with cross-functional teams to ensure prototypes meet warfighter requirements, and serves as a liaison among stakeholders, customers, and developers or engineers in an agile environment. The manager plans and coordinates stakeholder engagements across three to five projects and provides mentorship and leadership to a diverse team. The position also assists in developing and implementing team strategy based on customer requirements and direction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 14 years or more of USAF tactical, operational, and staff experience; or a master’s degree and 12 years or more of experience; or a Ph.D. or JD and 9 years or more of experience.
• At least two years of experience planning, directing, coordinating, and managing projects related to Air Force Research, Development, Test and Evaluation.
• TS clearance with SCI eligibility.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in an Air Force acquisition or Intelligence Community project management position leading integrated teams consisting of engineers, analysts, and project management personnel.
• Three or more years of experience in R&D or rapid acquisition development projects.
• Experience integrating projects.
• Experience providing successful project transition from prototype to sustainment.
• Experience in deployed environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the interface with mission partners and stakeholders to understand warfighting gaps and needs and translate them into product vision and goals.
• Work with joint and service component experts to deliver data integration for warfighter utilization.
• Work with cross-functional teams as prototypes are developed to ensure products meet warfighter requirements.
• Work in an agile environment as a liaison between stakeholders, customers, and developers or engineers.
• Plan, deconflict, and execute stakeholder engagements across three to five projects throughout all phases of execution.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to a diverse team.
• Assist in developing and implementing a team strategy based on customer requirements and direction.
